Abbey introduces its new mortgage range

Abbey is introducing its new mortgage range to be available from April 20 2005.

Highlights include a 2 year fixed rate mortgage from 5.14 per cent and 5 year fixed rate mortgage from 5.24 per cent. The range is also open to intermediaries.

For customers applying for a mortgage directly via a branch or by telephone, arrangement fees have been reduced by 100 for a 2 year fixed rate at 5.24 per cent, 2 year tracker rate at 4.79 per cent and the flexible plus deal for life mortgages at 5.24 per cent.

There are also two 6-month fixed rate mortgages from 4.79 per cent with no early repayment charge.

Abbey director of mortgages Gary Hockey-Morley says: “Our new range has been designed for people who want a competitive deal whether it’s over the short, medium or long term. With increasing demand from people looking for fixed rate, our range offers some of the best deals on the high street.”
