Abbey for Intermediaries launches commission based payment package

Abbey for Intermediaries is launching a new commission based payment package for intermediaries selling its Peace of Mind buildings and contents insurance and Paymentcase mortgage payment protection insurance.

Peace of Mind buildings and contents insurance policies offer intermediaries up to 100 up front commission, plus 15 per cent of the total premium if the cover stays in force at renewal of the policy.

Intermediaries also see up front commission on Paymentcare rise to a minim,um of 65 on the anniversary of the mortgage payment protection policy and will qualify for 15 per cent renewal commission based on the annual premium if the cover remains in force.

Paymentcare also includes a back to work advice service for unemployment claims as well as cover for back pain and stress. The new rehabilitation service is designed to complement treatment from clients’ local GPs depending on the circumstances.

Abbey is also offering a direct mail service with a top tips brochure to help intermediaries become fully compliant.

Abbey for Intermediaries director Ambrose McGinn says: “Abbey is committed to helping intermediaries get to grips with their new regulatory responsibilities for general insurance.”
