Abbey for Intermediaries hires new head of sales

Abbey for Intermediaries has appointed Brad Fordham as head of sales for telephony and service.

Fordham has worked for Alliance & Leicester and Santander for 15 years, most recently as performance director for the retail mortgage division. He has previously held roles in the bancassurance and branch network channels.

He will start his new role on November 1 and replaces Sue Carvell.

The announcement follows the appointment of Jeremy Duncombe, who joined in July as head of sales responsible for field sales force across the UK.

AfI managing director Alan Mathewson says: “Brad will also be leading the wider service agenda and building on the strong progress we have made in improving our service levels over the past few months.”

Fordham says: “Our number one focus continues to be improving service to make it as easy as possible for intermediaries to place their business with us.”
