Minimum loan: £6,000

Maximum loan: Up to 75% of valuation subject to a maximum of £550,000

Income multiples: Based on affordability and credit score

Conditions: Capital repayments up to 10% a year subject to £500 minimum allowed without penalty, free valuation for properties valued up to £2.5m, £250 cashback for purchases, £250 cashback or free standard legal fees for remortgages

Arrangement fee: None

Redemption fee: 3% of mortgage balance plus repayment of £250 cashback or £200 towards cost of legal fees in first three years

Mortgage broker is fined £100,000

The FSA has banned and fined an Essex mortgage broker £101,279 for submitting a fraudulent application. 1st Point director Gabriel Aramide has also been censured for concealing a fraud conviction when applying to the FSA for approval as a director.
