At Taxbriefs, we were astonished to be taken to task in the Diary (Money Marketing, May 13) for giving delegates to the excellent Money Marketing Live exhibition sample previous editions of our newsletters – in particular, the January edition.
Your Diary's bizarre complaint was that we should have rewritten our January 2004 newsletter – with all its pre-Budget and year-end tax planning comments – to take account of the the pension changes in the March Budget.
Very odd. When you give out back numbers of Money Marketing as samples to potential advertisers and readers, do you reprint them in the light of subsequent events? Of course you don't. Our newsletters are rather like your newspapers.
