A flood of green cash on the way

Britain&#39s floods could sweep in a boom in environmental and socially respons ible investment.

Henderson Global Investors&#39 socially responsible investment team believe the storms highlight global warming problems and will lead to a rise in use of environmentally friendly power.

Marketing manager Mark Campanale says: “Climate change is the key environmental challenge of the 21st Century. Governments and industry are coming under increasing pressure to look closely at alternative energy.

“Recent performance shows companies in solar and wind-power sectors have grown at almost 20 per cent a year.”
