40,000 jobs to go in DWP

40,000 jobs will go from the Department for Work and Pensions, the Chancellor has announced today in this year&#39s budget.

Gordon Brown has told Parliament he will cut DWP down to 100,000employees by 2008. Brown said he has also decided to cut 14,000 employees from the Inland Revenue and Customs & Excise.
