&#39Widows not interested in advisers&#39

Due to popular demand, Bungle Busters makes a comeback this week with IFAs pleading for Scottish Widows to be thrown under the spotlight again.

Widows has come under fierce attack from furious IFAs who claim the company has still not cleaned up its act, as it is continuing to send out endowment letters to IFA clients advising them how to get an IFA.

IFAs say they feel undermined by the company&#39s actions and claim it reflects just how little the life office values IFAs.

The information included in the endowment letter says: “How do I find a financial adviser?” It then lists the numbers of the FSA and IFA Promotion.

The move is infuriat-ing IFAs as Widows has already been highlighted for the same behaviour when it sent out it letters about its recent windfalls.

Pearson Jones & Co director Nick Conyers says: “Scottish Widows does not know whether it is on this Earth or fuller&#39s earth. It is just a shambles. It is up the creek and my personal view is that it is not interested in IFAs.”

Widows spokesman Glen McGill says: “We do not give the name or the address of the IFA on the letters but we do suggest consumers contact and discuss matters with their financial adviser.”
