2Plan recruits PosSol directors

National IFA 2Plan has appointed two former recruitment directors from Positive Solutions.

Philip Weeks and Miles Thurston, both with more than 20 years’ experience in financial services, will focus on recruiting IFAs in the London and the South.

Weeks was assistant recruitment director at PosSol and Thurston has worked for Norwich Union and All-ied Dunbar.

2Plan’s first 100 members can subscribe for shares in the firm.

Chief executive Chris Smallwood says: “This is a major coup for 2Plan. Philip and Miles have an outstanding reputation in the industry for helping IFAs grow their individual businesses and increase long-term income. They were a formidable team at Positive Solutions.

“We firmly believe that the national IFA firm model is the right one for the future of this industry, as opposed to network models and directly regulated advisers.”
