The portal, Horizon, provides online access to personal policy details and valuations direct from product providers.
the service is available to all 2plan’s member clients who choose an ongoing fee-based premium service.
2plan chief executive Chris Smallwood says the portal will enhance communication between adviser and client, and will act as a client retention tool.
He adds: “Whilst many firms use websites simply as a cheap way of servicing lower-revenue clients, the Horizon portal service is aimed at giving added service to high-net worth clients as an integral part of their ongoing service agreement. This not only enhances the communication exchange between advisers and their clients but also provides a powerful client-retention tool – complementing the overall advice process”.
