20-20 offers Optimum approach to recruitmen

Financial services search and selection consultancy 20-20 is offering a a recruitment tool which lets IFAs see footage of prospective employees by email before an interview is arranged.

The Optimum service is designed to complete many standard checking procedures for the firm with the prospective candidate.

20-20 says it has developed Optimum in response to market needs as it has found one of the most cited problems in financial services is the excessive amount of time employees lose interviewing inappropriate people.

It says interviews can often reveal that candidates do not live up to their curriculum

vitae or their personalities do not fit with the client&#39s team

or culture.

From receiving the client brief, the Optimum process goes through four stages.

It handles the marketing side of recruitment by advertising, headhunting and sear-

ching 20-20&#39s database of

candidates to find individuals who match the role and specification.

It then carries out face-

to-face interviews, including

psychometric profiling, and obtains documents, including FPC qualifications.

The screening process involves checking that the client application form is completed correctly, a personality profile analysis is completed and a comprehensive CV is prepared and appraised.

A further assessment interview includes an FPC-based exam and a role play captured on video.

20-20 senior partner Bob Clemens says: “By enabling IFAs to see for themselves

how a candidate performs in a client visit situation and completing most of the necessary checks and paperwork prior to interview, Optimum can provide a time- and cost-efficient way of recruiting.”
