£10,000 prize from MI

Broker club Mortgage Intelligence is giving intermediaries the chance to win £10,000 if England beat the odds and triumph in the World Cup.

Following England&#39s opening match with Sweden, the broker who places the most business through MI will win the money – if England win the final.

MI managing director Sally Laker says she is launching this competition so the company feels part of the “World Cup fever” sweeping the UK.

It hopes the opportunity to win a big award will capture the interest of brokers and will have the added benefit of helping to avert a drop in business during the football tournament.

MI is including a flyer with details of the competition in its broker mailshot on monthly best buys currently being distributed to members.

Two new additions to its new best-buy tables are a self-certification deal from The Mortgage Business with a fixed rate of 3.99 per cent until September next year and a discounted deal from BM Solutions with a rate of 3.99 per cent for one year.

Laker says: “Our development managers tell me brokers will be wrapped up in the World Cup in June and we want to be part of the World Cup fever. We considered a consolation prize if England does not win but we decided to go for the all-or-nothing approach.”
