Transact offers access to Analytics

Financial Express and Transact have launched a facility that enables advisers to transfer portfolio data from Transact into Financial Express Analytics.

The firms say the link will give advisers instant access to Analytics tools, without having to enter any data.

Analytics allows advisers access to factsheets for funds, managers, sectors and portfolios as well as news feeds and portfolio alerts.

Transact says its range of charts, fund-filtering tools, fund comparison and correlation tables have been designed to assist IFAs with preparing detailed fund research and own-branded reports for their clients.

Financial Express Analytics users will also have a link to Transact’s wrap platform.

Transact head of marketing Malcolm Murray says: “Users can now transfer portfolio details from Transact into Analytics at the click of the mouse, saving time that can be better spent communicating with clients.”

Churchouse Financial Planning director Keith Churchouse believes the deal will help clients understand the risks involved with individual funds.

He says: “It will be a great improvement for Transact customers. There has been a lot of criticism of our industry recently relating to the information provided to customers because it does not specify the risks involved in individual funds.

“The ability of an adviser to have information available to help understand risk and what is involved in these funds will be a great help.”
