Royal London looks at corporate wrap
Royal London is the latest provider to look at entering the corporate wrap market.
Money Marketing revealed in December that Hargreaves Lansdown was developing a corporate wrap account, to be launched this spring.
Friends Provident, Axa and Standard Life say they all intend to launch corporate wraps.
Royal London chief executive John Deane says: “People have been talking about it and it is one of those interesting industry discussions.
“For the majority of consumers, whether it is a corporate wrap or a good set of benefits from a company, which includes a pension scheme, it is all about how that is presented through the employer.
“For some, that will be without a corporate wrap and for others that may well include a corporate wrap.
“We have within Royal London protection businesses, group and individual pensions, a wrap platform and an offshore capability so I think that we have many of the elements that most employers would find very attractive.
“We will continue to monitor developments in the corporate wrap market.”
