Mark Polson to leave Standard Life

Standard Life’s head of trading Mark Polson, who helped to develop Standard Life’s wrap proposition, is leaving the company this week.

Polson (pictured) joined Standard Life in 2007 as head of communications and PR for Standard Life savings, the company’s platform business.

A spokeswoman for Standard Life says: “In light of the changed nature of the role that Mark Polson currently undertakes, we have agreed that Mark will leave the business to pursue other opportunities.

“Mark joined Standard Life to help develop and promote our wrap business. As wrap is now a fully embedded part of our business he is now seeking fresh challenges. We would like to wish him every success in his future career.”

Polson’s departure comes less than a week after Standard Life announced it was cutting up to 500 jobs over the next 15 months as part of an ongoing company restructure.
