Capita replaces Defaqto for SimplyBiz members

SimplyBiz has partnered with Capita Financial Software to offer members free product and fund research.

SimplyBiz members were previously offered access to Defaqto’s Aequos system.

Under the three-year deal members will receive free licences for Capita’s Synaptic research suite and a licence for Capita’s quotation and application portal Webline.

The deal will see over 1,500 licences issued over the coming weeks.

Synaptic hosts data for over 97,000 funds.

SimplyBiz managing director Matt Timmins (pictured) says: “Synaptic was chosen after an extensive review of the software available to advisers. We are extremely impressed by the comprehensive and state of the art technology that Synaptic offers and are confident the system will aid our members in conducting and reporting their research.”

Capita sales director Adam Byford says: “We are thrilled to enter a long term partnership with such a customer focused organisation like SimplyBiz.

“We are confident the Synaptic deal will be the first step in this strategic relationship and look forward to introducing our next generation of research tools in due course.”
