Capita Financial Software looks to relocate staff
Capita Financial Software has held consultation talks with staff about relocating up to 15 roles from the company’s Coventry and Bishop’s Stortford offices to Fareham.
Capita first set out restructure plans in 2008 following the integration of Quay Software, based in Bishop’s Stortford, Hertfordshire; Synaptic, based in Coventry; and Webline, based in Fareham.
At the time Capita set out plans to base its research and marketing department in Coventry, to base its client servicing team in Bishop’s Stortford and its IT and product development team in Fareham.
Capita says this relocation will ensure that all employees will be working from the correct “strategic location”.
The move could mean all 15 staff are relocated, or all 15 staff are made redundant, or alternatively that no action is taken.
Managing director Matt Humphrey says: “Following a review of the structure of Capita Financial Software, and as per the location strategy we set out in 2008, we have consulted with staff about relocating up to 15 roles from our Coventry and Bishop’s Stortford offices to Fareham.
“If it goes ahead, this proposal will centralise our product development and IT development teams so that we continue to build more products.”
