Sense has appointed former Sesame chief operating officer Stephen Young to the newly created role of commercial director.
Young has been in the role as of January 1 and will the aid the network in adding new members as well as joining the board of directors. He quit Sesame in November 2010 after nine years with the firm.
Sense was founded in 2007 by Tim Newman and John Netting and currently has around 45 firms and just over 130 advisers.
Managing director Newman says: “Steve brings with him a wealth of experience from his time at Sesame Bankhall, experience which will help us to continue to grow in the future.”
Young says: “The combination of integrated technology, simple and consistent processes and a management team who are in-tune with advier thinking places them in an excellent position to transition RDR and in a strong position to grow in the future.”
The network is 15 per cent owned by support service provider Threesixty, 33 per cent owned by its adviser members and 52 per cent owned by its directors.
