Two arrests in FSA insider dealing investigation

Two individuals have been arrested on suspicion of insider dealing and searches have been carried out in London and Germany as part of an FSA insider dealing investigation.

One man aged 37 and a woman aged 28 were arrested in London, and search warrants were executed at two London addresses.

The FSA worked with the police and prosecution authority in Hessen Germany to carry out another search at a German address.

A statement from the FSA says: “Today’s operation was jointly carried out by the FSA and the City of London Police Economic Crime Directorate.

“No further details can be confirmed at this time. The arrests are not linked to any other ongoing insider dealing investigation.”

The FSA is currently prosecuting 11 other individuals for insider dealing.
