Treasury appoints new MD for financial services
The Association for Financial Markets in Europe chief executive officer Jonathan Taylor has been appointed managing director of financial services in the Treasury.
Taylor, who will take up the post in early January, has previously worked for the London Investment Banking Association and was a managing director at UBS.
He previously worked in the Treasury in a number of roles including as a director for macroeconomic policy and international finance.
From 1994 to 1998 he was the senior Treasury official in the UK’s permanent representation at the European Union.
The previous MD of financial services was Tom Scholar, who is currently the Treasury’s second
permanent secretary.

Of course another banker! Bankers are part of the Illuminati. How else can you explain 36.2% market share 59% complaints and still Paul Selly HBOS says "Bancassurers set to benefit" from RDR. On the other hand IFA have 48.3% market share and only 3% complaints and 10,000 of them are to be binned post 2012?
