Francis McGee joins Money Advice Service
Former Aegon head of corporate affairs Francis McGee has joined the Money Advice Service’s corporate policy and external affairs team.
The Government launched the MAS in April to provide unregulated financial advice online, over the phone and face to face through its 100 advisers.
McGee will be responsible for developing the service’s position on new regulation and legislation and promoting policy that aims to enable people to manage their money.
MAS is an independent organisation, with a board and chairman appointed by the FSA. Its budget for 2011/12 is £43.7m and is funded by a statutory levy on the financial services industry.
