Ex-Burns Anderson IFA remanded in custody in £8m fraud trial
Former Burns Anderson IFA Grahame Whitehead appeared in court today in connection with an £8m fraud.
The former appointed representative of Burns Anderson appeared this morning at Chelmsford Magistrates Court charged with 49 offences of obtaining money transfers by deception under the Theft Act 1968 and sections 1 and 2 of the Fraud Act 2006.
Whitehead has been remanded in custody until a committal for a plea and case management hearing takes place at Chelmsford Crown Court on December 14.
Whitehead, a lifelong member of Salvation Army was managing director of financial planning firm Woodbridge Financial Services and also established an associate company Grosvenor International Property Services.
