Bank clerk and husband found dead, say reports

An ex-HSBC bank clerk who went missing on Tuesday before she was due to be sentenced for stealing money from elderly clients has reportedly been found dead with her husband.

Bindi Dhanji went missing before sentencing was due to take place at Southward Crown Court on Tuesday.

She had previously confessed to stealing more than £100,000 from two elderly bank clients.

The Metropolitan Police Service says two bodies were found yesterday morning hanging from a bridge over the A406 at Staples Corner, but that the bodies have yet to be formally identified.

A spokesman says: “We believe we know the identities, but we are waiting for formal identification.”

A post mortem is due to take place tomorrow.
