Zurich UK Life chief exec to step down
Zurich UK Life chief executive Michael Brennan is retiring from the business and will leave the company on August 31.
Brennan has been with Zurich for 34 years, and was Zurich Life Ireland chief executive before taking the chief executive role on the UK Life side in 2009.
If a successor is not appointed by September 1, global life Europe chief executive David Sims will take over from Brennan on an interim basis while continuing in his current role.
Sims says: “Michael has made a valuable contribution to the success of UK Life during the last two years, leading the business through a period of strong profitable growth despite competitive and challenging markets. He has also been instrumental in reshaping the Life business to ensure it has the right foundations in place and remains well positioned for the future.
“We would like to thank Michael for his dedication and loyal service to Zurich over the years and wish him well in his retirement.”
