Skandia head of protection leaves
Skandia head of protection Ian Brown has left the firm.
Brown decided to leave Skandia in December due to the closure of Skandia’s Bristol office.
A Skandia spokesman says: “Ian lives near Bristol and works from that office a lot rather than our Southampton office. As you know we are closing our regional offices so it was decided that, as the Bristol office is closing, Ian would go off and explore other opportunities.”
Brown reported into head of proposition marketing Peter Jordan and protection issues will now be reported directly to Jordan.
Skandia is now looking for a replacement, both internal and external.
In December, Moneymarketing.co.uk revealed that Skandia UK’s chief operating officer John Tomlins, finance director Simon Lloyd and platforms delivery director Tim Mann were made redundant. Skandia Investment Group, Steve Kowal and head of investment research Tom Berger also left the firm.
In November Skandia proposed to close nine regional adviser support offices.
