L&G enhances IP plan
Legal & General has enhanced its income protection benefit plan.
Enhancements include an increase in the maximum benefit from £120,000 to £200,000 per annum, and an increased expiry age from 65 to 70.
The plan now includes new guaranteed insurability options to make it easier for people to increase their cover in line with their earnings. L&G has also removed all exclusions except for drugs and alcohol, and enhanced the number of people covered by its own occupation definition.
L&G managing director for protection Bernie Hickman says: “This will be more consumer-friendly and make it easier for advisers to market these plans to their clients.”
