Friends Prov protection head moves to Intrinsic

Friends Provident head of distribution for protection Ed Stuart-Brown has joined Intrinsic Financial Services as group protection director.
Stuart-Brown (pictured) also sits on the Association of British Insurers’ Protection Strategy Committee and chairs the ABI working group on ‘Creating a Resilient Society.’
At Intrinsic he will be responsible for developing Intrinsic’s protection proposition across the network’s restricted and independent distribution channels.
Intrinsic chief executive Richard Freeman says: “Ed brings fantastic experience to this new role, both in terms of provider knowledge and working closely with appointed representatives and IFAs.
“Protection income across the Intrinsic group is already strong, and our aim is to broaden the offering and help all of our advisers provide their clients with the best service. Ed will lead that project and will no doubt play a major part in securing our position as the UK’s leading network.”
Stuart-Brown says: “I am delighted to be joining Intrinsic having worked alongside the team for a number of years at Friends Provident. Intrinsic advisers have a fantastic track record in providing protection advice to their clients, and I am confident that with real focus we can firmly establish Intrinsic as the leading distributor of protection in the UK.”
