Ex-FSA chair Davies in talks to join Pru

Former FSA chairman Sir Howard Davies is in talks to join the Prudential board as a non-executive director.

Davies (pictured), director of the London School of Economics, was chairman of the FSA between 1997 and 2003.

According to Sky News, Davies’ appointment is several weeks away and marks an attempt by Prudential to strengthen its board following the failed attempt to buy Asian insurer AIA.

The appointment would be subject to FSA approval.
