Bupa pays 89% of CI claims

Bupa paid 89 per cent of all critical illness claims during the first three quarters of this year.
Two per cent of declined claims were due to non-disclosure, while nine per cent were turned down because they did not meet the policy definition.
Bupa Individual Protection head of product development Steve Casey says: “This is good news for customers. The reductions are a result of improvements in our policies to make them easier to understand.”
