Aviva reduces acceptance time by 40%

Aviva has almost halved the time it takes to accept a protection application.

The provider has reduced the time by 40 per cent, from 11 days to 6.5 days.

Aviva says the reduction in waiting time was due to service improvements, including improved underwriting, improved adviser information and the introduction of dedicated teams for large cases and business protection.

Aviva director of protection Richard Verdin says: “The protection market is often seen to be measured only on price, however advisers constantly tell us the importance of service when choosing a provider.

“We have made significant improvements to offer a slicker, faster more efficient service.”

  • I have a good memory when it comes to the Prudl - reneging on their critical illness terms without notice thus obliging IFA’s to bin many cases still in the pipeline. They did the same with their Pruehealth contract. Sorry I don't support providers like this. Remember also that AVIVA undercut the IFA by offering special terms to Tesco's. Try a Tescos quote and see if you can match it with 100% commission give up? Then you'll know what to say to AVIVA when they claim to support independence - total tosh, AVIVA supports AVIVA. As an IFA ask yourself if you can afford to support groups like these? There are far better protection products out there and remember your are independent!

  • Your memory isn`t that good Simon , Tesco dropped Aviva back in 2006.

Tesco Bank now provide life insurance via Friends Provident.

So based on that Friends Prov must now be on your no go list.

Anyway you surely provide a service above and beyond what Tesco offer so why would a client of yours go there ....
