Aviva enhances IP plan and increases commission for IFAs

Aviva has enhanced its income protection solutions plan by offering a temporary accident cover benefit.
The temporary cover provides up to 90 days accident cover whilst the policy is being underwritten.
Other enhancements include exclusion discounts for mental health and/or spinal conditions and an increase in commission for advisers. Advisers now receive 150 per cent initial commission, up from 130 per cent previously.
Aviva UK Health senior propositions development manager Kevin Murdoch says: “Our flexible IP Solutions has been really well received and we are committed to the ongoing development of the product to ensure that it continues to meet our customers’ needs.”

It is encouraging to see Aviva making headway in respect of product design.
It seems as if the days of pile 'em high and sell 'em cheap are over.
Good products will always appeal more than cheap and cheerful version
