Andy Milburn joins Ageas Protect

Former Munich Re head of marketing Andy Milburn has joined Ageas Protect on interim basis as head of marketing for the insurer.

Milburn has (pictured) taken the role on an initial six-month basis.

Ageas Protect has also announced the appointment of Darren Spriggs as operations director and Mike Urmston as chairman.

Spriggs join from Ageas subsidiary RIAS, where he was responsible for over 800 employees across two customer services sites. He also helped developed the Over 50s life plan across Ageas Protect and RIAS.

Mike Urmston has been a member of the Ageas Protect Board since it launched in 2008.

Ageas Protect managing director Martin Werth says: “The addition of Darren Spriggs and Andy Milburn to our senior team, and the appointment of Mike Urmston as  chairman, is significant and each of them bring valuable skills, energy and experience to maintain our rapid business growth and ensure we deliver a superior service to our partners and their customers.

“Our enhanced senior team will continue the delivery of a strong 2011 performance for Ageas Protect.”
