Premier keen to move into new regions

Premier Asset Management says it is keen to bolster its regional fund range if it can recruit the right manager.
Sales and marketing director Simon Weldon says the firm has a strong UK equities and fixed income offering as well as a strong multi-manager and property proposition and additions in regions such as Asia, Europe and the US would be welcome if the right opportunity came along.
He says: “We are not actively looking at this stage but should the right manager become available, we would definitely look at launching a product.”
Hargreaves Lansdown investment manager Ben Yearsley says: “The regional markets are selling at the moment. A group like Premier needs to make sure that the areas it invests in have long-term growth. However, those markets can sometimes be difficult to break into.”
