Tories promise immediate public spending cuts

Conservative shadow chancellor George Osborne has promised immediate cuts in public spending if his party win the General Election.
According to press reports, Osborne said spending on advertising and tax credits for people earning more than £50,000 would be cut.
He further highlighted previous plans to cut child trust funds for better-off families, saying this is an area where savings could be made.
Yesterday Conservative leader David Cameron challenged Gordon Brown over spending cuts.
At Prime Ministers’ Questions, he said Brown should admit the truth about spending cuts, adding: “He has stood there week after week and denied what everyone knows to be true: that there will be spending cuts.”

Spending cuts should start as soon as possible to avoid getting deeper in the ..... Suggestions,stop planting flower beds, cut grass when it is needed to allow the road to be seen. Switch off all street lights. Stop bin cleaning and have once a fortnight bin emptying. In other words uneeded services to stop now.
