Labour unveils Shadow Cabinet

The Labour Party has unveiled the line-up of its Shadow Cabinet, with Alistair Darling acting as Shadow Chancellor of the Exchequer on a temporary basis and Yvette Cooper (pictured) taking on the role of Shadow Secretary of State for Work and Pensions and minister for women and equalities. 

Harriet Harman is acting leader of the Opposition while Lord Mandelson and Lord Adonis resign from the front bench.
