Peter Mann to become Skandia UK chief executive
Peter Mann is to take over from Nick Poyntz-Wright as the chief executive of Skandia UK.
Mann (pictured) is currently chief development officer at Skandia and will take on the chief executive role from May 1. Poyntz-Wright will remain with the group until July 2010.
Old Mutual Wealth Management chief executive Bob Head says: “We are delighted to appoint Peter to this senior role in the UK business and welcome his sales and operational insights as he joins the senior management team of Wealth Management. We thank Nick for his many years of stewardship of the UK business.”
Poyntz-Wright says: “I am pleased to see Peter take over the UK business and have seen what tremendous drive and energy he brings to the operation in the 8 years during which we have worked together. Peter has the right skills to oversee the transformation of the UK business in the future.”
Mann says: “Nick has played a key role in the growth and success of Skandia over the past 21 years and set the tone for our strategy and approach to the market. I know everyone here wishes him well for the future. He steps down from his role as CEO leaving us in a strong position to support financial advisers as platforms continue to play an increasingly important role within their businesses.”
