Weatherston joining Xafinity as programme director

Aegon head of operations for at retirement Nichol Weatherston has been made redundant and is to join Xafinity Paymaster as programme director.
Weatherston was at Aegon for three years and chaired the steering group for the Association of British Insurers’ Options initiative for annuity transfers. Prudential delivery manager Mairi Allison takes over as chair.
An Aegon spokeswoman says: “Nichol’s role was made redundant as a result of a restructure in our individual pensions business and we wish him well in his future career.
“As a founder member, Aegon remains firmly behind the Options initiative which has made great strides in reducing annuity transfer times between providers.
“We continue to be represented on the steering group to drive the next stages of development. The chairmanship of the steering group changes on a rolling basis.”
