Standard's Jolly joining the ABI

The Association of British Insurers has appointed Peter Jolly as assistant director for consumers and distribution reform.

He joins the ABI from Standard Life, where he has been head of distribution policy, and takes over from Alex Roy, who has left to take up a new post outside the insurance industry.

Director of life and savings Maggie Craig says: “Jolly has over 20 years’ experience of the industry with three major companies and has worked in sales, strategy and distribution. A key part of his role will be to lead the ABI’s work on implementing the retail distribution review, making sure it succeeds in delivering high-quality advice to as wide a range of consumers as possible.”

Jolly says: “It will be a challenging role at a particularly challenging time and I look forward to using my experience in the best interests of the ABI’s member companies and, most important, their customers.”
