Standard Life Intl picks Dunne as chief exec

Standard Life International has appointed Nigel Dunne as its new chief executive.
Dunne will assume his role immediately, taking over from Audrey McLaren who has moved to take on the role of European operations director in Edinburgh.
Dunne has also been appointed managing director of Standard Life Ireland with overall responsibility for its domestic business.
He has held a number of senior sales and marketing positions within Standard Life.
He says: “Despite the recent tough market conditions, Standard Life’s offshore business is going from strength to strength and I believe we have never been in better shape to fight off the competition in terms of our financial strength and market offering. I am very much looking forward to the challenge.”
