Lewis: ‘Need for quality advice’

The Retirement Partnership has set up a new service to help people find an adviser specialising in retirement planning.

The service, FindARetirementAdviser.org.uk, offers free registration to retirement specialist IFAs. Over 160 firms have already registered on the site, which is now operational.

Managing director Steve Lewis says: “There is still a tre mendous need for consumers to seek out quality advice, so we have set out to help advisers demonstrate their proposition to the general public. We will also offer free consumer guidance and education materials to users of
our new website.

“We believe helping the individual understand a little about their own situation and then helping them find a ret irement adviser to provide the advice that is so often req uired will make people better off in retirement.”

The Retirement Partnership was founded in 2008 with Burrows & Cummins partner Billy Burrows and Equus Independent Financial Management managing director Paul Fife with the aim of helping advisers understand the retirement market.
