Jackie Hunt replaces David Nish as Standard CFO

Standard Life has appointed Jackie Hunt to the role of chief financial officer.

From May 14, Hunt will also be an executive director of the firm.

Hunt replaces David Dish who succeeded Sir Sandy Crombie as chief executive of the firm at the beginning of 2010.

Hunt joined Standard Life in January 2009 as deputy group finance director. She previously held senior management roles at Aviva and Royal & Sun Alliance.

Chief executive David Nish says: “Jackie has extensive experience in financial services and a detailed understanding of the sector.  These attributes make her ideally placed to help us lead Standard Life at this exciting stage in its development. I am delighted for Jackie and look forward to the contribution she will make in her new role”.

Hunt says: “Standard Life is going through a period of dynamic change and I am very pleased to be given this opportunity to work alongside David and the team as chief financial officer at this exciting time”.

Following this appointment, the Standard Life’s board will comprise three executive directors and eight non-executive directors, including the chairman.
