AILO appoints Mark Kennett as chairman
The Association of International Life Offices has appointed Mark Kennett as chairman.
Kennett is currently head of investments at Royal London 360 and has sat on the AILO committee for five years.
Kennett began his financial services career with Barclays Trust Company before joining Global Asset Management as senior valuations officer. He joined Scottish Life International as an investment analyst manager in 1996. He became head of investments when SLI merged with Scottish Provident International and Royal London 360.
He says: “The offshore life industry continues to face many challenges as a result of the tough economic conditions being experienced globally, and this is something that we can, and must, learn from for the future. There are many legislation changes on the horizon which will have serious implications for the industry including a number of European Directives and the 2012 retail distribution review.
