Treasury select committee launches inquiry into banking reform

Leah Milner
The Treasury select committee has launched an inquiry into banking reform with oral evidence sessions from across the tripartite authorities.

The inquiry follows the committee’s previous work on Northern Rock and the Government’s consultation on Financial stability and depositor protection.

The committee has called for written evidence and has announced oral evidence sessions with members of the Court of the Bank of England, the Bank of England, the FSA, the Financial Services Compensation Scheme and the Treasury.

The sessions will take place on July 16 and 22.
