Tenet launches mortgage and investment apprenticeships

Nicole Blackmore
Tenet, with the Financial Services Skills Council, is launching two apprenticeship programmes for mortgage and investment advisers to help bring new blood into the industry.

Tenet says the apprenticeship scheme is aimed at providing the second career market with a route into financial services.

It will run the programmes in partnership with Derby-based Babington Business College and has obtained Government funding for work-based training, reducing the cost for participating advice firms.

Tenet distribution and development director Keith Richards says: “The Government has often spoken about their intention to support the promotion of the financial services industry, and at last we have an initiative focused on activity and implementation.

“The structured programme, financial support and recognised qualifications are a positive step in attracting quality individuals to the sector and we are pleased to be part of an initiative which supports the industry to recruit and train new advisers for the future.”
