Skandia Investment Group’s Jamie Macleod has stepped down from his role as chief executive and has left the business.

Macleod is succeeded by Nils Bolmstrand who has been with SIG since its inception in October 2007.

Bolmstrand was responsible for product development, distribution, and managing relationships with fund groups internationally.

He was previously chief executive of Skandia Fonder AB, having joined Skandia in 1998.

Old Mutual Group wealth management division CEO Bob Head says: "Jamie founded Skandia Investment Management seven years ago and has been instrumental in building leading the SIG business.

"I thank Jamie for his part in this and wish him well for the future. In appointing Nils we have a CEO who is well versed in the strategy of the business, who knows our fund group partners well, and will continue to develop the SIG business working within the wider Old Mutual Group."

Jamie Macleod says: “It has been a great journey in building a £50bn assets under management business and I really hope the company continues on this successful journey."
