Openwork appoints new chairman

Openwork has appointed Martin Davis as non-executive chairman.

Davis, chief executive of Zurich Global Life Emerging Markets, will replace current chairman, Mario Greco, with immediate effect. Openwork says Greco is stepping down in order to focus on his other Zurich commitments.

Prior to his current role, Davis was chief executive at Zurich International Life. He was also commercial director with Sesame Group and managing director with Corillian International.

Davis says: “With the market going through challenging times at the moment, it’s an exciting time to become chairman. This new role provides me with the opportunity to continue the great work done by the board and the partners in developing Openwork as a successful business. I look forward to driving the business forward to deliver greater value for all our stakeholders, with continued focus on our customers.”

Greco says: “Now is the right time to step down in order to focus on my other commitments within the Zurich Group, and ensure Openwork has the board leadership needed to achieve its strategic aims.”

Marcus Nagel will also join the board as a non-executive director. Nagel will retain his current role as Zurich Global Life head of IFA and brokers.
