Nucleus appoints technical director

Hannah Stodell
Nucleus Financial Group, the IFA-owned wrap platform is appointing Andrew Smith as chief technology officer.

Smith was previously vice president of development and operations at Thomson Financial where he managed the global securities division.

In his new role, Smith will be responsible for the infrastructure and proposition delivery and process design of the platform and will report to chief executive David Ferguson. His appointment follows that of Neil Howitt who joined Nucleus in June as chief financial officer.

Commenting on his new role Smith says: “My challenge is to provide a seamless experience for those advisers who are using the Nucleus platform. Ultimately, we are looking to offer a simplistic and user friendly process that until now has eluded this market.”
