Newton reshuffles investment team

Newton’s has reshuffled its investment team with chief investment officer Jeff Munroe becoming head of global equities.

Head of private clients and charities Simon Pryke will assume the redefined role of chief investment officer, while head of UK private clients Caroline Tye will replace Pryke and will join Newton’s board, subject to regulatory approval.

Investment leader, global equities, Jon Bell will join Newton’s multi asset team in a new role.

Munroe joined Newton in 1993 as a global equity manager, and was appointed chief investment officer in 2001. He is also a board member.

Pyrke joined Newton in 1996 as a global research analyst. He combined this role with leadership of the global research team for more than six years from 2003 and became head of private client and charities in November 2009.

Newton says that it is redefining the role of chief investment officer to ensure its focus on execution of the investment process and effectiveness of the firm’s idea generation.
