iShares launches ETF guide for advisers
Exchange traded fund provider iShares has published a new guide to ETFs to boost education amongst IFAs.
Chapters in the iShares guide for UK IFAs range from the basics of ETFs and asset allocation to tax considerations and suitability wording. The guide is available both in hard copy and online.
iShares Europe senior business development officer for the IFA sector Julian Hince says the latest publication of retail distribution rules have prompted a significant number of IFAs to enquire about ETFs and seek further education materials.
He says: “We’re trying to make it easier for them to business with us. By picking this guide up and reading through it they’ve got something they can keep in the file for compliance purposes as well.
“IFAs have been calling for this. ETFs aren’t these incredibly complex vehicles that are new to the marketplace, these are collective investment schemes so it’s important to help IFAs understand that these are another fund choice and another tool in their kit.”
