Fixed income vehicles top James Hay wrap and Sipp

Dimensional global short dated bond has topped James Hay's list of its top selling vehicles on its Sipp and wrap platforms in 2007.

The top 10 list of funds and bonds show a preference for fixed income, with a propensity towards equity income.

While Dimensional's bond sits in the IMA's fixed income sector, with Newton's higher income fund and international bond - in second and third best - respectively sitting in equity and fixed income sectors.

Standard Life commercial property fund was fourth most popular with M&G UK equity passive fund completing the top five spots.

James Hay propositions and e-commerce manager Chris Smeaton says: "These figures show strong investor appetite for fixed income, but with a varied range of exposure to equities. Equity trackers – which have lower total expense ratios – have been popular with those wanting equity exposure, while selected actively managed equity funds have also seen strong inflows.”
